Spikes Softball takes its mission “to develop and prepare young women to play the game of softball at the highest possible level” very seriously. In fact, our program’s directors and coaches are dedicated to helping our players find the best possible fit if they desire to play softball in college.
The recruiting process for softball is multi-faceted and involves the cooperative efforts of the player, her family, her high school coach/summer coach and organization. All play different but important roles in the process. Below you will find information that discusses these roles, our efforts and some helpful links for additional resources.
A good place to start is with the proprietary documents below that include our step-by-step guide to the recruitment process, answers to commonly asked questions and a review of statistical data that demonstrates the importance of focusing on education first.
Spikes players and parents have the opportunity to attend seminars and lectures on the college recruitment process at Diamond Dreams Sports Academy, training home of the Spikes. These informative meetings, typically held twice per year, are presented by our coaches/directors as well as successful local high school and college coaches.
